Near Gosha Gala your walking tour will start. Stroll the medieval heart of Baku the Icheri sheher castle, discovering the mysteries and legends of Icheri Sheher (Old Town). Learn about the ruling dynasty of Azerbaijan lived in 11-14 centuries by visiting the Shirvanshah’s Palace, which is the biggest monument of Shirvan-Apsheron Azerbaijan architecture school. The complex contains the main building of the palace, Divanhane, the burial-vaults, the shah mosque with a minaret, Seyid Yahya Bakuvi’s mausoleum, a portal in the east – Murad’s gate, a reservoir and the remnants of the bathhouse. You will leap back in time by taking little walk before visiting the Maiden Tower. The Maiden Tower also known locally as Giz Galasi, located in the Old City, Baku, in Azerbaijan, was built in the 12th century. Together with the Shirvanshahs’ Palace, it forms an ensemble of historic monuments inscribed in 2001 under the UNESCO World Heritage List of Historical Monuments as cultural property. Juma Mosque Located in the historic Icheri Sheher, the mosque has been rebuilt several times. The present Friday Mosque was built in 1899 under the financing of Baku merchant Haji Shikhlali Dadashov. A minaret, constructed in 1437, adjoins Friday Mosque.

The Gobustan State Reserve is full of archaeological monuments and has over 600,000 cave painting. Most of these images were made by pecking, grinding, or scratching and carved a design into a rock’s surface and dating back between 5-20,000 years left by the hunter-gatherer people who populated this region in times past.
This is one of the largest known concentrations of petroglyphs and is located on the Gobustan State Preserve. Rock art provides a window into the past rituals, beliefs, and artistic abilities of its creators. Because of its scientific, aesthetic, and religious significance, Gobustan become most popular state park and a valuable mine of Azerbaijan. People interested in visiting the petroglyphs can take our half day tours to Gobustan all year long.
Later on the tour will continue to the Mud Volcano which is not far from the Gobustan National Museum. Azerbaijan keeps the first place in the world for the number of mud volcanoes.
