Today, on the territory of an amazing alien building there is an auditorium (congress center), the Museum of them. Heydar Aliyev, exhibition halls, restaurant, cafe, and administrative offices. If you delve into the sense of creativity inimitable Zahi Hadid, then you can see exactly how the architecture of the building embodies her ideas. Representing a wave-like aspiration upwards and a smooth fusion with the earth, the cultural center personifies not only the postmodernist style of the maestro but also infinity, symbolizing the connection of the past with the future.

It makes no sense to talk about a 4-story auditorium for a long time – these are two well-equipped conference rooms, rooms for meetings and negotiations, as well as a media center. It is interesting to look at the exhibition halls of the cultural center.

Exhibition Hall “Masterpieces of Azerbaijan”
Located on the first floor of the masterpiece of Zahi Hadid, this exhibition attracts visitors the opportunity to get acquainted with unique exhibits telling about the country’s history and cultural heritage. Including, see samples of rock paintings from Gobustan, ancient coins and jewelry, medieval items made of clay and copper, old copies of the Koran, the Bible and the Torah. Of course, it was not without traditional Azerbaijani carpets and musical instruments, the sound of which, by the way, can be heard.

“Mini-Azerbaijan”
On the second floor of the cultural center, there are models of 45 historical and architectural sights from the capital and other regions of the country. What can be seen in a tiny version: the Maiden’s Tower in Baku, the Mominey-Khatun Mausoleum, Baku Station, the Philharmonic Hall, and Ismailia are examples of Soviet architecture – the Government House of Azerbaijan and the Green Theater. Finally, the modern and “future” architecture is the Baku Crystal Hall and Flame Towers, as well as models of the planned Olympic Stadium and the building of the Oil Fund of Azerbaijan.

“Welcome to Azerbaijan”
On the third floor, there is an exhibition under the welcoming title “Welcome to Azerbaijan”. Recent work belongs to the famous American photographer Peter Lippman.

You begin to get acquainted with the collection of the museum at the entrance – there are cars that were used by Heydar Aliyev from 1969 to 2003. In the three-story building of the museum, you can get acquainted with the life of the former President of Azerbaijan with the help of photo and video materials.
