Guba is a small city located in the Quba-Khacmaz district of Azerbaijan on the north-eastern slopes of Shahdag ridge about 168 km away from Baku not far from the Russian border. Village in Qachrash administrative district of Guba region. It is located on the banks of the Gudyalchay River, on the slope of the Greater Caucasus Range. The name of the village is a combination of the Persian words kach (pistachio) and ras (steppe, foothills, meadows), vernas “pistachio foothills”. The name of the settlement reflects the natural conditions and relief of the land. The village is covered with forest almost on all sides. There are many natural springs. As for the flora, it can be said that it is rich. In the forest, there are trees with wild fruits such as walnuts, hazelnuts, cornel, hawthorn, hips, apples, pears, mashed potatoes. It is also common in medicinal herbs. As for the animal world, there are gazelles, wolves, bears, wild boars, foxes, etc. animals live. In the Gudiyal River, which gives a special beauty to the village, it is possible to catch bream, a valuable fish species.
